Welcome to Book Your Plumber Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.bookyourplumber.co.uk (the “Website”) and any plumbing services you book with us.

By using our Website or booking services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

2) Services & service area

We provide plumbing services to customers within our stated service area. We do not operate a public walk-in premises.

​

3) Bookings and appointments

  • Booking requests: Online bookings are requests and are only confirmed once we confirm the date/time with you by phone, email or SMS.

  • Access: You must provide safe and clear access to the property and the work area at the agreed time.

  • Arrival times: We aim to arrive within agreed time windows. Delays can occur due to traffic, emergencies, or earlier jobs running over. We will keep you informed where possible.

4) Fixed pricing – what’s included

We offer fixed prices for many common plumbing jobs. A fixed price applies only to the specific job described on your booking/quote and includes the labour required to complete that job as described.

A fixed price may not apply (or may change) if:

  • the issue is different from what was booked/quoted,

  • there are additional faults or hidden defects discovered once work begins,

  • access is restricted (e.g., boxed-in pipework, seized fittings, poor isolation),

  • the job requires additional parts or extra work not included in the booked service,

  • the installation does not meet current standards and remedial work is required to proceed safely.

If we identify anything that affects the fixed price, we will explain the issue and provide options and any additional costs before proceeding (where practical). No additional work will be carried out without your agreement.

5) Parts and materials

  • If parts/materials are required, we will confirm costs with you before purchase/installation where practical.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied parts/products and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms.

  • Any parts removed/replaced remain our property unless otherwise agreed.

6) Call-out fee and no work carried out (£90)

If no work is carried out for any reason (including no access, cancellation on arrival, the issue not matching the booked service, or you decide not to proceed), a £90 call-out fee applies to cover travel and reserved time.

​

If work is carried out, the call-out fee does not apply and you will be charged the agreed fixed price (and any approved extras, if applicable).

​

7) Cancellations and rescheduling (24 hours notice)

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

​

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, miss the appointment, or we cannot gain access at the agreed time, the £90 call-out fee may be charged.

8) Customer responsibilities

You agree to:

  • provide accurate information about the issue and property,

  • ensure the work area is accessible and safe,

  • ensure utilities are available as needed (water/electricity) unless agreed otherwise,

  • secure pets and ensure a safe working environment,

  • obtain any required permissions (landlord/freeholder/management company) where applicable.

9) Safety and refusal of work

We may refuse to start or continue work if, in our reasonable opinion:

  • conditions are unsafe,

  • asbestos or other hazardous materials are suspected,

  • there is risk to people or property,

  • the work requested would breach regulations, safety standards, or manufacturer instructions.

10) Workmanship and guarantees

  • We provide services with reasonable care and skill.

  • Any workmanship guarantee (if offered) applies only to the work we carried out and does not cover pre-existing faults, third-party workmanship, misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear.

  • We are not responsible for failures caused by existing pipework, appliances, or fittings that we did not install.

11) Limits of liability (important)

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under law.

Subject to the above:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of profit, business interruption).

  • We are not liable for losses caused by hidden defects, pre-existing damage, or work carried out by third parties.

  • Our total liability for any claim shall be limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant service, unless law requires otherwise.

12) Emergency and out-of-hours work

Emergency or out-of-hours attendance may be charged at different rates. We will confirm charges before attending where possible.

13) Website use and content

Unless stated otherwise, all content on this Website is owned by or licensed to Book Your Plumber Ltd. You may view and use the Website for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, republish, sell, rent, or redistribute Website content without permission.
